Boys Basketball Win 4th Straight

Game Date
Jan 4, 2019

Milton boys basketball was able to win its 4th game in a row with a decisive 73-15 win over Winooski.   Great team defense tonight, for all 4 qtrs., with our team holding Winooski to just 15 points.  After building a 33-6 halftime lead with pressure defense, we focused on playing good man to man defense for the 2nd half, and slowing the offensive pace up a bit, which is tough to do with this team, they really like to push the ball.

Our Seniors really brought energy tonight,  - Ian put up another solid game coming close to a triple double and had some great unselfish assist tonight.  Colby Mason continues to become a force inside, with his first double figuring scoring game of the season.  Sam Patterson is clearly one of the most athletic basketball players around, and provided our crowd with some amazing players tonight. Colby Ducharme’s tenacious defense, and great work running our offensive sets got us lots of transitions and set play opportunities.  Andrew Harvey's court vision and decision making tonight were very good.  Deven Creamer took the night off,  but gives us a good scoring option with strong rebounding and interior defense.

Junior Damion Mitchel, earning his first start of the season, played great defense for us tonights along with classmate Zach St. Amour who is one of the quickest players on the team, each providing lots of steals.

Sophomores; Kyle Brown, Brandon Dallas, Dan Moshovetis, and Mike McNeil all had a good showing tonight combining for 22 points.   Kyle's one our better shooters, and it was good to see him hit 3 – 3ptrs.  Brandon, who’s new to our program is really doing well learning all our stuff and provides us with a good scoring threat.  Dan had his best game of the season and finished well at the rim, and did well replacing Deven in the game.  Mike got some time running the point, where he excels with his crafty play with the ball in his hands.

Freshman Colin Mathis had another good game against Winooski, totaling 20 points in our two games against them.  Really like how fast he can push the ball up the court.

A BIG thank you to all the MS players, and families that attending the game and providing some good halftime entertainment.
